Roydon
incorporates contrasting mixed bushveld, grassland and highveld
mountains eco-systems
that descends into a valley, forming an amphitheatre surrounded by
the slopes of the enclosing mountain ridge.
The
reserve hosts more than 60 animal species, 80 bird species
including Martial eagles, Goshawks and Secretary birds and more
that 150 different plant species have been identified.
In
addition to superb game viewing from open vehicles with
experienced Game Rangers the Roydon experience is unique in its
offering of Horse & Hiking Trails and the wooded Mountain Bush
Camp with swimming in the mountain rock pools.
An
open Boma rounds of the setting and just enhances the splendor of
a night in the African bush. A place to unwind in front of warm
open log fires and share the experiences of the day.
