A 1500 ha Hunters Heaven with a CAE.
Roydon Nature Reserve is the SA
Hunters Stormberg Branch Clubhouse and most shoots,
training and Junior hunters courses are being held
here. We have a 100m, 200m and a 300m shooting range
with a bow range and clay pigeon range. |

HUNTING CAMP |
|
You arrive the afternoon before
and we shoot in rifles at our shooting range. We do
a game drive to orientate you on the Reserve We have
dinner in the large thatched Lapa or open Boma and
talk a lotta hunting and become acquainted. Up early
the next morning have coffee and to the bush either
with a lunch pack or we return to camp for lunch.
After lunch we continue till about 5pm return to the
camp/lodge where we have big fires going and cold
beers served with a scrumptious dinner around a
large campfire. |

|
HUNTING RULES |
|
Hunters will be
submitted to a shooting ability test on or before
the first day of the hunt. Only rifles of caliber of
6mm or 243 or higher may be used for Blesbuck,
Impala, Springbok and Fallow Deer and 7mm or higher
for larger animals. |
|
All hunters will be
accompanied by a guide who will not be responsible
for pointing out the sex or specie of animals. |
|
Consumption of liquor will
not be allowed while hunting. |
|
No hunting takes place from a
vehicle. |
|
All Hunters must be in
possession of a hunting license which will be
available for Sale at Roydon. |
|
All Hunters must sign a
declaration of Indemnity |
|
Hunters must preferably
belong to an accredited hunting Club or Association |
|
Accommodation for the
hunters will be on the Reserve |
|
Hunting will take place on the
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning if required
and again Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning if
required. |
|
None of the animals are
guaranteed to make any record book, but the hunter
can shoot the best animal he/she can find for the
day. |

OTHER ACTIVITIES |

We have a tarred airstrip 5 km
from the Reserve an 18hole golf course within 5 min,
horse riding, game viewing, Fly fishing (Bass &
Bluegill), swimming pool and many other activities
to keep the family occupied for a few days whilst
dad is enjoying the bush. |
