Welcome
to the Roydon private nature reserve website. Please take your
time and browse through the site.
Situated
in a Malaria Free zone, Roydon covers an area of 1500 hectares or 3700 acres
and is situated in the Heart of the 1820
Settler Country only 6 km outside the town of Queenstown also known as the
Rose of the Eastern Cape.
The
original farm land has been undisturbed since first registered by
a Deed of Grant dated 1 January 1858. The Reserve in now owned by
the Pepler Family Trust.
The
Roydon Reserve promotes conservation principles through education
with the particular focus on the youth and are part of creating a
better South Africa for all by touching and changing the lives of
many through education in environmental care.
The
reserve boast an excellent setting with great facilities,
including a conference centre and lapa, great
South African hospitality and great South African traditional
cooking.
We
are also proudly associated with the following game conservation
associations, PHASA, ECGMA and SA Hunters which have made this
venue their home.
